A 227th Infantry Battalion "Men Of The North" Cap Badge, By J.D.Bailey, C.1916 Archive Honour Decoration of the RedIn pickled brass, maker marked "J D BAILEY" on the reverse, measuring 47 mm (w) x 46. 8 mm (h), both lugs intact, extremely fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Algoma, Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Sault Ste. Marie and Camp Borden, Ontario under the authority of G. O. 69, July 15, 1916. The Battalion sailed April 11, 1917 under the command of Lieutenant Colonel C. H. Lep. Jones with a strength of 28 officers and 783 other ranks. In
